♕ |[10]| Filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;
[Accidental Voice Post]
N-no, it's not fair... You can't be here, too. you can't. How did you--
[A chair clatters to the floor as Neil backs up into it; he grunts a little as he trips over it, keeps going. Obviously whoever he's talking to, he doesn't want to be anywhere near them. He pauses for a moment; but no other voice is audible.]
I'm not going to-- don't come any closer-- I won't drop out. I don't want to, and they need me, and you haven't done anything for me and how could you even say that, after what happened? This is all I've ever wanted to do, why won't you understand...
[His voice drops nearly to a whisper, but he sounds much bolder, much more sure of himself.]
You can't make me give it up. I won't. My friends here won't let you-- you can't make me do anything!
I won't!!
[ooc; guess who was in Neil's living room this morning. ;____; as long as he gets the gist of this being a curse he'll be fine to perform later. if a little freaked out. SO PERFECT BRB WEEPING WITH JOY]

cool cool. i like when action is actiony
He hesitates, not really sure how to express himself. "I wish he'd go away," he murmurs sulkily, glaring at nothing. "Even if he's not real."
Abruptly he turns away-- as though a lapse in attention will banish the hallucination-- and looks at Todd, this time catching the other boy's expression.
"Yours too?"
yah, was like "sup action how u doin" and it was all "hey, y'know, keepin it actiony." chill guy.
He takes a step closer to Neil himself, his eyes locked on the spot his father isn't standing in. At least, until he moves away, that troubled expression stuck on his face. It's certainly elicited some kind of a brisk response from the emptiness, as he flinches and turns to face Neil again.
"It's-- it's alright... it's not as bad..."
He glances over to where Neil's father seemed to be briefly, then back at his friend. He's obviously more concerned about Neil than he is for himself.
yeah well that's just how action rolls
"Well.. if they aren't real, they can't actually do anything to us." As far as he can guess. He hasn't let his father get close enough to touch him, in spite of that.
action just knows how to keep it real baby.
i wish i was as cool as action is.
"Figures, we'd have a curse and all this snow..."
i wish i could even just be one of action's groupies.
"Of course... the show must go on, though, right?"
i heard superman wears action pajamas
That was, perhaps, a little more enthusiastic than was strictly necessary. Fake confidence was better than none, after all.
dude, superman just apped action but got rejected for not being cool enough to play him.
"Of course," He offered a small, reassuring smile, "And it'll be fine."
Then, glancing toward but not directly at his own father, "...maybe we should go out and find something distracting to do."
idk i think action is too op anyway
And there was plenty-- last minute business for the play, making sure the arrangements they'd made due to the weather hadn't fallen through. Costumes to see to, nerves to soothe. A thousand little things his father would hate him for. Neil nodded, consciously avoided looking at Tom Perry.
"You're right. We should get going."
