[Even if he had noticed today's curse-- which he hasn't, not yet-- Neil would still be out and about, because really it isn't so bad to have a little Christmas cheer and a peck on the cheek is hardly the end of the world. But Neil hasn't been a victim yet, as he leaves his building and heads for the bookstore, and he's too preoccupied and sulky to notice much of what's going on around him.

Neil's not looking particularly festive, because black and blue aren't Christmas colors. He's got some visible, impressive bruises on his face and collarbone, and the fact that he's walking a bit gingerly suggests he's not much better from the neck down. There's an as-yet unnoticed spot of blood (else he'd have taken care of it) on the collar of his jacket. He's not badly hurt enough to beg off work, though, so he's bravely soldiering onward.]

[He looks embarrassed, not so much because of the unicorn but because wow, he must be more of a mess than he thought.]

[Teddy is particularly sensitive to people he is fond of ending up with bruises and he's stepped closer than he meant to in concern.]

[Neil has no idea what he's done to attract the equine ire, so he's not embarrassed yet. Apart from, you know, being vaguely embarrassed to be fussed over.]

[He steps in a little, too, instinctively just trying to find a comfortable conversation distance. Too close, though, and he looks up suddenly, trying really hard to fight the compulsion.]

[Teddy's gaze follows Neil's automatically and there's a brief moment of uh, oh before the curse takes hold and he is kissing Neil. WHY IS HE KISSING NEIL, OH GOD.]

[It's funny, because neither of them has a problem kissing boys (obviously,) and this isn't exactly intentional on anyone's part, but somehow the fact that he's kissing Billy's boyfriend makes this much more nerve-wracking for Neil than most of the others toda have been. So by the time they're done, he looks thoroughly mortified.]

Gnumphrm.

[It is the most coherent noise he can come up with. Obviously this is a curse and no one should hold anything against anyone else but there is probably no way to avoid an extreme level of awkwardness at the very least. Which is particularly unfortunate given the friendship between the two couples.]
