Floating isn't very much like flying. At least, not flying the way a bird flies, though it's very much the way I fly in my dreams. Like stepping up onto something that isn't there and not stopping. And seeing the room from above, laying on the ceiling, isn't much like looking down from the top of a desk. Even less like looking down by looking up, standing upside down.

I didn't much like that, but I think it's the experience that counts, looking at things from a new perspective. Not whether you prefer that perspective. As long as I was right-side up I enjoyed floating... the same way I enjoyed flying, when I was a bird... but I don't mind keeping my feet on the ground, overall.

I had to catch a great number of people yesterday, and help them down. Also, so me of my things began to float away and I did not like that at all. Flying is the sort of thing most sensibly done with wings, I think.

Pretty good, really. The City's always the City so it can be scary sometimes, but I've done all right and no one broke any windows at the bookstore.

Gosh, I'm not sure I could pick. I love it though, being able to read so much, in between customers and things.

Not me. I turned into a mermaid once, but never a bird.

Wet. And very rolly. I wish someone would've installed more hills. What is it like being a bird?

Tough at first. Especially when you weren't a bird when you went to sleep and have to crawl out of the covers somehow. But once you get the hang of flying it's amazing.

I've been flying a few times. Without, you know, any bird transformations or brooms or planes or anything like that. It is amazing.
